It’s hard choosing a razor. The nicks and cuts on my face prove it! So, I decided to help everyone looking for a proper razor by starting up a shaver / razor review blog. I hope my blog helps anyone out there looking for that perfect set of blades! Without further delay, here’s the review!
The Philips Norelco 8140XL Shaver includes many of the standard features men have come to expect from an electric powered razor including a rechargeable battery with an included charging stand, stainless steel blades, and claims of cutting smoother, closer, and more surface area at a time. But does the Philips Norelco include anything that jumps out and says “Buy Me?”
A lot of electric shavers can’t be cleaned with running water, you’ll damage the electronics inside and have yourself an expensive paperweight covered in hair. A water resistant…not proof mind you, design is quickly becoming an essential feature of all razor blades. Who wants to stand around at a sink being careful not to splash your razor trying to remove that last, tenacious hair from an electric shaver when you could be doing other things like being on time for work or taking over the world?
Another one of the things I really like about the Philips Norelco Shaver is the 3 minute charge time. If the razor is out of juice place it on the stand to recharge just before you get in the shower or brush your teeth and you’ll have a fully charged razor ready to cut and trim. Each charge lasts for about an hour, making a single charge ideal for week long vacations.
People who have bought the Philips Norelco 8140XL remarked on how “smooth” the shave was. I myself prefer the scruffy look and pretty much shave for my girlfriend who has a fetish for smooth skin. If you like or have a partner that likes you with smooth skin this is an excellent razor to consider.
